Event Details: September 22 to 23, 2026 | SMX Convention Center Manila

What happens when HR leaders, workforce innovators, and people developers all meet under one roof? You get conversations that matter.

For SPARK, HREX 2026 was more than a two-day expo. It became a space to listen, connect, and discuss one of the biggest questions organizations face today: How do we build people who are ready for what comes next?

Across both days, we met HR professionals, business leaders, and organizations looking for better ways to approach Learning & Development, Microcredentials, workforce capability, and skills development.

And one message kept coming back: Training should not end with attendance. It should show up in the work.

The Conversations Got Real

We came ready to talk about L&D. What we received were real problems.

Some organizations had no dedicated L&D team. Some were already running training programs, but struggled to measure whether anything actually changed.

Others were asking:

– Where are our real skills gaps? – How do we develop better leaders? – How do we know if our people are actually capable, not just certified?

Those are exactly the conversations SPARK wants to be part of. Because sometimes, the answer is not more training. It is better training, built around the right problem.

Proof Matters More Than Paper

One of the biggest conversations we brought to HREX was around Microcredentials.

A certificate can show that someone attended. But organizations need something more useful: Can they actually do the skill?

Microcredentials help move learning from simple completion toward assessed, demonstrated, and verifiable capability. That gives HR teams better information for employee development, internal mobility, promotions, workforce planning, and skills-based hiring.

Less proof of presence. More proof of skill.

Maybe It Is Not a Talent Shortage

When teams struggle, organizations often assume they need more people. But sometimes, the bigger issue is not a talent shortage. It is an unmapped skills gap.

Before deciding to hire, train, redeploy, or restructure, organizations first need clarity:

– What can the team already do? – What is missing? – Where should learning go next?

That is why we introduced conversations around our Skills Gap Scorecard, a simple starting point for organizations that want to understand capability before deciding on the solution.

Map the gap first. Then build the roadmap.

Technology Changes Work. People Still Make It Work.

HREX 2026 showcased AI, HR technology, automation, recruitment tools, and workforce solutions. The future of work is moving fast. But one truth remains: Tools are only as valuable as the people using them.

Organizations still need leadership, judgment, communication, adaptability, collaboration, and problem-solving. Technology can improve a process. Capability determines the result.

That is why Learning & Development matters even more in a technology-driven workplace.

No L&D Team? You Still Need L&D.

One of the clearest messages we shared throughout HREX was this: You do not need to build an entire Learning & Development department before you can start developing your people.

SPARK can work as an external L&D partner for organizations that need more structure but may not yet have a dedicated team. Our support can include:

– Training Needs Analysis – Role-based learning pathways – Corporate training & leadership development – Capability-building programs – Microcredential pathways

The goal is simple: Start with the business problem. Identify the capability gap. Build the right learning intervention.

Two Days, One Shared Goal

Day 1 brought the energy. Day 2 brought even deeper conversations.

We met people from different industries, organizations, and roles, but many shared the same goal: Build better people. Build stronger organizations.

That is what made HREX 2026 meaningful for SPARK. We were not just talking about seminars. We were talking about capability, performance, leadership, and the future of people at work.

Thank You, HREX 2026

To the HREX organizers, thank you for creating a platform where the HR and workforce community could connect, learn, and exchange ideas.

To our fellow exhibitors, congratulations on an incredible event and for bringing so many valuable solutions into one space.

And most importantly, to everyone who visited SPARK, shared a challenge, asked a question, introduced a colleague, explored our services, or simply stopped by to support us: Thank you. You made these two days unforgettable.

The Expo Ends. The Conversation Does Not.

HREX 2026 may be over, but the questions continue:

– How do we identify skills gaps? – How do we make training work better? – How do we build stronger leaders? – How do we validate capability? – How do we develop people without a full internal L&D team?

These are the conversations SPARK wants to keep having. Bring us your L&D problem. Let us build the roadmap together.
